Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever!

Today is September 1, 2023. It is the Beginning of the Ecclesiastical Year. On this day of the month the Orthodox Church commemorates the Assembly for the Most-Holy Birthgiver-of-God of Miasena, and Our Venerable Father, Simeon the Stylite and his mother, Martha.

The prescribed readings are 1 Timothy 2:1-7 and Luke 4:16-22.
